ACT Winners
YMCA ACT, Majura Community Centre: Positive Steps Exercise ClassYMCA’s Positive Steps Exercise Class is focused on engaging people with mental health issues in regular, fun exercise.
Eliane who runs this class works closely with a mental health team to have people to be referred to and transported to her class, many of whom now are so engaged that they make their own way to her class.
NT Winners
Zen Ranch: Personal Training & Group SessionsThe Zen Ranch’s PT and Group sessions have changed the life of client Chris.
They’ve opened Chris’s eyes to a healthy holistic lifestyle, and now she and her family can’t get enough of their physically active lifestyle.
Chris’s several physical challenges due to his obesity are now a thing of the past – he has lost 30% of his body weight. Zen Ranch has motivated Chris to be an active part of his community including team sports.
QLD Winners
URT Ultimate Results Training: Beginners BootcampUltimate Results Training’s Beginners Bootcamp is designed for people who need help overcoming fears, self-doubt or past excuses, to get to a fitter, healthier version of themselves.
The program breaks down barriers to give everyone support in taking the first step to being active, so they can have an improved quality of life and daily health.
This fun community based program also prepares children and adults with varied fitness levels for community events and fun runs.
SA Winners
Trend Fitness: 12 Week Transformation ChallengeKnown for their personal touch, Trend Fitness brings people together to create a team environment.
Tania feels inspired and has improved her lifestyle through Trend Fitness’ classes. The classes have had a big impact on her life.
TAS Winners
Perfect Fit 4 Ladies: Group Exercise for WomenPerfect Fit 4Ladies’ group exercise for women give participants personal attention. They bring in inspirational speakers to give the ladies education and insight into living a healthy lifestyle.
PerfectFit has empowered women with an all-round program that not only involves exercise but a community spirit through fun runs, local events and education sessions.
VIC Winners
Vibe Health & Fitness: Fun & Fitness for special needsVibe Health & Fitness’ Fun & Fitness for special needs is for both kids and adults.
Vibe pride themselves on long time participants and building their confidence, social skills, balance and coordination. Carers of participants are also encouraged to participate, creating an all-inclusive environment.
WA Winners
Be Alive Fitness: Winter Warrior 8 week challengeBe Alive Fitness’ Winter Warrior 8 Week Challenge gets ladies who aren’t usually active, into a regular exercise pattern.
The Winter Warrior’s trainer is approachable, passionate and keeps clients focused and accountable. Participants have improved their stamina, cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.
Their all-round program has also given people the motivation to lead healthier day to day lives.
NSW Winners
Body Beyond Baby ProgramBody Beyond Baby gives mums a personalised workout and caters for physical and emotional issues that come with being mum.
Making exercise for mums easily available and having a carer at the park so that no one needs to miss a workout, is a vital part of their values to keep mums active.
They’ve developed a team environment amongst participants to inspire each other. Alejandra says she is healthier and happier because of the Body Beyond Baby program.
